Samsung wins major legal hurdle on Galaxy tablet ban in Australia

South Korean electronics and mobile maker Samsung has won a major legal battle in its current patent related tussle with Apple, as it won the appeal on Galaxy tablet ban in Australia. The Australian Court has overturned the earlier ban imposed on Samsung regarding the sale of its flagship table computer brand Galaxy tab in Australia.

In October, Apple has wont an injunction against Samsung banning the later to sell Galaxy tab in the Australian market due to touch screen patent related tussle. Apple had accused Samsung that Samsung is using Apple-s touch-screen technology in Galaxy tabs. Earlier Apple has won the same legal suit in Germany, leading to the ban on selling of Galaxy tabs in the German market.

This court ruling is a setback for Apple, but definitely it will give boost to Samsung as it will be able to sell Galaxy tabs in one of the biggest market just ahead of the Christmas festive season.
