Inflation surges to 8.98 in March

Inflation in India (WPI) surged to 8.98% in March from the same period last year, compared to 8.31% in February. Government has also revised the January inflation from 8.23% to 9.35% using the new method. As per the new method, the March inflation can touch the double digit.

Because of  continuous increase in inflation and possibility of touching two digits, RBI may hike rate more than everyone-s expectation as RBI now has to take strict steps to cool down inflation even if it will affect the economic growth.
