German exports jump in March

German exports jumped by nearly 0.9% in March compared to previous month to 98.9 billion euros due to stronger demand of German products from non-European markets. The exports jumped by 6.1% compared to same month last year which is a decent figure. At the same time, imports were increased by 1.2% in the same month leaving trade surplus at 13.7 billion euros which is same as last month.

While European countries continue to face crisis and lower growth, higher demand from non-European countries drove the export for the previous month. This is the third consecutive increase in German export and is definitely a good sign for German economy.
