Forex reserves increased by USD 429 million to USD 295.031 billion

India's foreign exchange reserves was increased by USD 429 million to USD295.031 billion for the week ended December 24, 2010, according to the data released by RBI. In the earlier week, reserves had decreased by $817 million to $294.602 billion.


The increase was mainly due to Foreign currency assets which were increased by USD 457 million to USD 265.905 billion for the same week. The SDRs (Special Drawing Rights) was dropped by USD 20 million to USD 5.043 billion for the same week.
