Forex reserves increased by USD 2.303 billion

India-s forex reserve was increased by USD 2.303 billion to USD 297.334 billion for the week ended December 31 mainly due to the evaluation of the foreign currency assets, as per the weekly data released by RBI. The foreign currency assets were increased by USD 1.909 billion to USD 267.814 billion. Gold, Special drawing rights (SDRs) and Reserve Portion in the IMF, all were increased in USD terms for the same week.
