Few More News Headlines – 30 September, 2011

1. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Home Minister P. Chidambaram appeared together before the media and sealed the open rift between them. Pranab Mukherjee has appealed to close the chapter.

2. The Supreme Court has cancelled bail granted to Hasan Ali Khan by the Bombay High Court in the black money case. The Enforcment Directorate had filed a petition with the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of Khan’s bail.

3. Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has rejected the US allegations of Pakistan that it is supporting Haqqani network through ISI. He has also said that Pakistan will not bow to American pressure in this case.

4. Japan’s unemployment rate falls more than expected to 4.3% in August compared to 4.7 in the previous month. This is definitely a good news for Japan which is struggling to boost economic growth after the last recession.
