Few More News Headlines – 26 September, 2011

1. Home Minister P Chindambaram has met with Party Chief Sonia Gandhi and offered to resign as he was also involved in the 2G spectrum scam and found responsible for the same in a recent Finance Ministry note.

2. Boeing has delivered its first 787 dreamliner to Japan’s All Nippon Airways. It was supposed to be delivered three years ago but was delayed because of production and design problems.

3. Major oil firms have resumed crude oil production in Libya as the opponents are ready to form a new government. The oil production in Libya was complete disrupted because of war between the Gaddafi forces and his opponents since February this year.

4. Saudi King Abdullah gave women the right to participate in local elections and to become members of the country’s top advisory body.
