1. China which is also world-s most populous country has announced to abandon its one-child policy introduced three decades ago and changed it two-child policy. The ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) has issued an official communication after party-s 4 day plenary session headed by President Xi Jinping in Beijing.


This step was taken due to rising numbers of old age population and declining labour force because of this rule which was enforced by Chinese Government three decades ago.


2. Saudi blogger Raif Badawi has been chosen for European Union-s prestigious Sakharov Prize for human rights for year 2015 considering him as a symbol of the fight for freedom of speech. Raif Badawi, author of the website Free Saudi Liberals received an international fame in 2012 after he was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 1,000 lashes in Saudi Arabia for insulting Muslim clerics.
