1. The 4th Nuclear Security Summit will begin in Washington today in which leaders of about 50 countries and representatives of five international organisations will participate to discuss a gamut of issues pertaining to nuclear security. The two-day summit will highlight achievements and commitments of several countries towards safeguarding nuclear devices and technologies and reducing the threat of nuclear terrorism.Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached to Washington from Brussels today to take part in the summit.


2. Global Credit rating agency Standard and Poor-s (S&P) has maintained China's sovereign credit rating at AA- but cut its outlook to negative from stable as it believes the Chinese Government's reform agenda is on track but likely to proceed more slowly than expected. The downgrade follows a similar move by ratings agency Moody's Investor Services earlier this month.


3. England reached the final of the ICC World T20 after defeating New Zealand by seven wickets in the first semifinal match held in Delhi yesterday. England will face West Indies in the final match to be held on Sunday. Both the teams won T20 world cup once earlier.


In the other Semifinal match played today, West Indies defeated India by 3 wickets to be qualified for the WT20 final for the second time. Virat Kohli-s 89 of 43 balls innings went in vein as West Indies successfully chased 192 run targets in 19.4 overs.
