1. International Day against Nuclear Tests was observed on 29th August 2016 across the world with an aim to raise people-s awareness on the need to prevent nuclear catastrophes in order to avert devastating effects on humankind, the environment and the planet.

2. Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg won the 2016 Belgian Grand Prix Formula One race. It was his overall tenth championship title of F1 in his career and the sixth win in the 2016 season.

3. The European Commission has ruled Ireland to recover nearly 13 billion euros or 11 billion pounds from tech giant Apple as taxes, biggest ever within the region.
