1. Jimmy Morales won Guatemala's presidential election to be elected as new President of the country. He will sworn in January 2016. He won more than 67% of votes where ex-first lady Sandra Torres received less than 33%. Earlier Morales was nominated as the presidential candidate of National Convergence Front (FCN/Nation) in 2015.


2. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix title held in Elroy, Texas this weekend. His team-mate Nico Rosberg secured second position while Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel secured third position in the same race. Force India drive Sergio Perez secured fifth position in the race.


With this, Hamilton won the 10th title in the 2015 season and won world Formula 1 championship for the third time after winning it in 2008 and 2014.


3. South African batsman Hashim Amla completed fastest 6000 runs in ODIs. With this, he broke record held by India's ODI vice-captain Virat Kohli. He took 123 innings compared to 136 innings took by Kohli to achieve this feat.
