1. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has chosen Tim Kaine, a seasoned politician and a Senator from the battleground-state of Virginia, to be her vice presidential running mate. Kaine is a former Governor of Virginia and he was elected to the US Senate on 2013.


2. Roger Ailes, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fox News Channel has resigned from his post. Rupert Murdoch, Head of parent company 21st Century Fox, will succeed him.


3. Former French cyclist Dominique Arnaud has passed away in Aquitaine, France due to cancer. He was 60. He won three stages in the Vuelta and a stage in the Midi Libr and Tour du Limousin in 1983, which is a 4-day road bicycle race held annually in Limousin, France.
