1. The world-s oldest man, Yasutaro Koide, passed away today at the age of 112 in central Japan. He passed away in hospital in the central Japanese city of Nagoya, where he had lived for many years. He received a certificate from Guinness World Records confirming the achievement after another Japanese man who was just a month older died in July.

2. China-s economic grew by 6.8% in the fourth quarter of 2015, as per data published by China's the National Bureau of Statistics today. With this China's economy grew by 6.9% in 2015 which is the slowest pace in 25 years. As per the new data, China's Gross domestic product (GDP) reached 67.67 trillion yuan, same as USD 10.3 trillion with Service sector accounted for 50.50%.

3. English professional snooker player Ronnie O'Sullivan won his sixth Snooker Masters title after defeating Barry Hawkins 10-1 in the final held at the Alexandra Palace in London. O'Sullivan had previously won the event in 1995, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2014, thus equaling the record set by Stephen Hendry.
