1. Canadian Novelist and Poet, Margaret Atwood was awarded with PEN Pinter Prize 2016. She will receive her award at a public event at the British Library later in October this year. The prize was founded by Nobel Prize-winning playwright Harold Pinter in 2009.

2. Central Bank of the USA, Federal Reserve has kept the key interest rates unchanged at 0.25-0.5%. Lower payroll for May month and upcoming Brexit decision later this month were the main reasons to keep interest rate unchanged for now.

3. The Rio 2016 Olympic organising committee has revealed the official slogan for the first Olympic and Paralympic Games in South America, -A new world- while unveiling the medals. Along with the Olympic torch, the medals, the mascots, the slogan also plays a major part in creating the unique identity of each Olympic Games.
