1. Haryana Government has won the Skoch Order-of-Merit national award for implementing six e-Governance and IT initiatives in the state, announced by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in the state Assembly. The award will be presented to the state government later this month.

Skoch Order-of-Merit national award is given to top performing government organisations and private organisations working with the government. Given by Skoch Consultancy Services Private Limited, a strategy and management consulting firm founded in 1997.

2. The IMF said India is among the few bright spots in the global economy as G20 finance ministers began their two-day meeting against the backdrop of concerns over Chinese economic slowdown looming large on world markets. International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Christine Lagarde said that at the meeting of G20 finance minister and Central Bank Governors where they also discussed monetary policy uncertainties.

3. Bollywood music composer-director Aadesh Shrivastava passed away in Mumbai on 5th September after suffering from cancer. He has been treated at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital for over 40 days after his cancer relapsed for the third time.
