1. India's economic growth lost some momentum in the June quarter GDP growth dropped to 7.1% compared to 7.9% in the March quarter due to slowdown in agriculture, mining and construction activity.


2. The Goa Legislative Assembly unanimously passed a resolution to ratify the Goods and Services (GST) Bill, 2016. Goa is the 15th State Assembly to ratify the Bill which paves way for the presidential assent.


3. India jumped 19 places in the Logistics Performance Index to rank 35th in this year-s list, published by the World Bank. The list is topped by Germany.


4. Jharkhand becomes the first state in the country to have implemented Public Fund Management System (PFMS).


5. Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu to be appointed as brand ambassador of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force).

12. Veteran Congress leader and former Governor of Madhya Pradesh Mohammad Shafi Qureshi passed away in Delhi. He was 87.
