1. Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has surprisingly announced his retirement from test cricket with immediate effect just after completing 3rd test against Australia today "citing the strain of playing all formats. After this Virat Kohli will lead the team in the fourth test against Australia in Sydney, as per BCCI. The surprise announcement came from Dhoni during press conference after drawing third test against Australia and losing the four match Border - Gavaskar series by 2-0.


M S Dhoni is considered to be one of India-s greatest Test team captains under whom Indian team secure No 1 rank in test teams ranking. MS Dhoni played 90 Tests in his entire Test cricket career and scored 4876 runs at an average of 38, with a high score of 224. As a wicketkeeper, he made 294 dismissals, the fifth highest in Test cricket.


2. Central Government has shifted Uttarakhand Governor Aziz Qureshi to Mizoram for his remaining term. Meghalaya Governor Dr K K Paul has been appointed as the new Governor of Uttarakhand who succeeds Mr. Qureshi. Dr K K Paul will also continue to hold the additional charge of the Governor of Manipur along with Uttarakhand. West Bengal Governor, Keshari Nath Tripathi has been given additional charge of Governor of Meghalaya.
