1. India's Sanjeev Chaturvedi and Anshu Gupta have been awarded with the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award 2015, which is Asia-s highest honour. Sanjeev Chaturvedi, is an Indian Forest Officer and Anshu Gupta is the founder of the NGO Goonj. 

As per the foundation, Sanjeev Chaturvedi has been awarded for -his exemplary integrity, courage and tenacity in uncompromisingly exposing and painstakingly investigating corruption in public office, and his resolute crafting of program and system improvements to ensure that government honorably serves the people of India.- Anshu Gupta was awarded for -his creative vision in transforming the culture of giving in India, his enterprising leadership in treating cloth as a sustainable development resource for the poor, and in reminding the world that true giving always respects and preserves human dignity.-

2. Information Technology secretary, R S Sharma has been appointed as the new Chairman of Telecom and Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). He will replace former TRAI Chairman Rahul Khullar, who retired in May this year.

3. Anand Krishnamurthy has been appointed as the new MD and CEO of Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB). He replaced Rakesh Bhatia who had quit due to personal reason. He has previously worked with HSBC for 22 years and also headed the Wholesale Banking and Treasury of CSB for last one year. He was responsible for corporate banking, integrated treasury operations of the Bank and SME business for CSB.

4. India-s capital market regulator, Securities and Exchange Board of India has cancelled Sahara asset Management Company-s license on 28th July. SEBI said that the company is not fit and proper entity to carry out the business of mutual fund. It has directed Sahara AMC not to take any new subscription from the investors including existing investors in systematic investment plans and also not to levy any penalties on the investors for not depositing the installments. SEBI has also asked the fund house to transfer its activities to a new sponsor and a Sebi approved asset Management Company at the earliest.

5. Leading Automobile manufacturer Renault India has roped in actor Ranbir Kapoor as its new brand ambassador. Renault is also celebrating its fourth year anniversary in India this July.
