1. The Central Government has set up a 13 member committee on promotion of cashless society and digital economy which will be headed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The committee will identify best global practices for economy based on digital payment and examine possibility of adopting them in the country.


2. The Indian economy grew at 7.3 per cent in the September quarter of current financial year compared to 7.1 percent growth in the previous quarter. The improvement was mainly on improved performance of the manufacturing, services and trade sectors.


3. India-s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) grew by 6.6 per cent in October this year compared to 3.8% in the same month last year despite decline in the production of coal, crude oil and natural gas sectors.

7. Private Sector lender RBL bank and non-banking finance company Bajaj Finance have tied up to launch a series of Co-branded credit cards for Indian Customers. The co-branded cards are targeted at the large segment of people in metros and non-metros who have no credit cards.


8. Utkarsh Microfinance, Varanasi based microfinance institution has got the final license to start operations as small Finance Bank (SFB).
