1. India has slipped 11 places to rank 89th on a global index of talent competitiveness, as per the annual Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTC) released today by INSEAD business school in partnership with Adecco Group and the Human Capital Leadership Institute of Singapore.

India-s ranking is worst among the five BRICS countries, with China leading the pack with a global rank of 48. Switzerland topped the list followed by Singapore, Luxembourg, the US and Denmark in the top five positions.

2. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected India-s economic growth at 7.3% for the current year and 7.5% for the next year. At the same time it has cut the global growth forecast to 3.4% for 2016.As per IMF, China-s economic growth will slow down to 6.3% in 2016 and 6% in 2017.

3. Guenter Butschek was appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of India's lasrgest auto maker and owner of Jaguar and Land Rover brands, Tata Motors' Group. He was appointed after post of Managing Director of Tata Motors was vacant for nearly two years since the death of Karl Slym in January 2014 after falling from a hotel building in Bangkok.

In his new role, he will lead all operations of Tata Motors in India and in international. However, Jaguar Land Rover would continue to be managed by its Chief Executive Officer and Director, Ralf Speth.
