3. India-s retail inflation, measured by consumer price index, dropped to a 14-month low of 4.2 per cent in October this year and overall retail food inflation dropped to 3.32 per cent in October. Consumer Price Index based inflation had stood at 4.39 per cent in September this year, and 5 per cent in October last year.


4. India-s overall inflation, measured by Wholesale Price Index, eased to 3.39% in October this year compared to 3.57% in September and (-)3.7% in October last year. Overall wholesale food inflation dropped to 4.34 per cent in October this year.
