1. Ovais Sarmad, a senior Indian official has been appointed as the Deputy Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
2. Pawan Kumar Chamling, Sikkim Chief Minister has been conferred with the first Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Lifetime Achievement Honour in Public Service.
3. Aravind Kumar Rengan, Assistant Professor in Department of Biomedical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology - Hyderabad (IIT-H) has been awarded the prestigious Indian National Science Academy (INSA) medal in the Young Scientist category for 2017.
