1. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows into the services sector which includes banking, insurance, outsourcing, R&D, courier and technology testing grew by more than 46% to USD 3.25 billion in financial year 2014-15 due to favorable steps taken by the new NDA government. FDI inflow in the sector stood at USD 2.22 billion in financial year 2013-14.


The central government has taken some steps to improve the ease of doing business in the country and to attract more foreign investments which is showing results now.


2. Shri Ameising Luikham has been appointed as the Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises in the Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises. Before this, he was working as Secretary, North Eastern Council, and Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.


3. Indian e-commerce company Snapdeal has acquired mobility solutions company Letsgomo Labs in order to strengthen its mobile technology capabilities and position in the m-commerce industry. Nearly 75% of the orders on Snapdeal already come via mobile-based transactions and it will help Snapdeal to improve its mobile platform services.


Letsgomo Labs was founded by Manav Kamboj and Vikas Banga and it currently has 76 members team that work across various mobile technologies.


4. Indian Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has reached at ninth position in the all-time highest Test wicket-takers after taking 3 wickets in the recent test match played against Bangladesh. Harbhajan dismissed Imrul Kayes to reach 415 Test victims, one more than Pakistan-s Wasim Akram with 414. His final figures of 3 for 64 took his total test wickets tally to 416 victims from 102 Test matches.
