1. Former RBI Deputy Governor Subir Gokaran was appointed as an Executive Director on the board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the name was cleared by Appointments Committee of Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the IMF Executive Board, he will replace Rakesh Mohan.

2. Indian financial services company Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd. (IHFL) has acquired 39.76% stake in OakNorth Bank of the U.K. for USD 100 million. With this IHFL will become the largest shareholder of a full service universal bank.
