1. In a historic referendum voting held on 5th July 2015, People of Greece rejected the creditor-s demand for more austerity in exchange of extension of bailout package. The creditors include the troika of European Central Bank (ECB), European Union (EU) and International Monetary Fund (IMF).


61.31% people voted in favor of -No- compared to 38.69% votes in favor of -Yes-. With this result, Greece-s exit from euro zone looks more probable now.


2. Mercedes driver UK-s Lewis Hamilton won 2015 Birtish Grand Prix of Formula One held in UK yesterday. This was his fourth victory of the season and his second Birtish Grand Prix win. His team mate Nico Rosberg secured 2nd position, Ferrari-s Sebastian Vettel secured third position and Williams- Felipe Massa secured third position in the same race.


3. United States (US) won the 2015 FIFA Women-s World Cup title after defeating Japan by 5-2 in the final match played at Vancouver, Canada. This is the third world cup title of US.


Carli Lloyd (US), Amandine Henry (France) and Aya Miyama (Japan) won the Golden Ball Award, Celia Sasic (Germany), Carli Lloyd (US) and Anja Mittag (Germany) won the Golden Boot Award and Hope Solo (US) won the Golden Glove Award.


4. Chile stunned favorite Argentina in the final match played at Santiago de Chile to win the Copa America title 2015 for the first time. It is also Chile-s first ever international trophy in Football.


Chile defeated 14 times champion Argentina by 4-1 goals in the penalty shootout as regular match had ended in a goal-less draw. With this loss, Messi led Argentina failed to win in the final matches of two big tournaments after losing World Cup final against Germany last year.
