1. The five permanent members of the UN Security Council has failed to reach an agreement on a resolution that could authorize the use of military force against Syria. UK moved the resolution at the UN Security Council to attach Syria and protect civilians which was supported by the USA. Russia and China opposed the resolution saying that the time of war has not come yet.


2. The US economic growth has been revised upward to 2.5% (annualized) in the second quarter of the current year compared to earlier economic growth of 2.2%. This was more than double the pace recorded in the previous quarter and this increase was because of increase in exports and consumer spending.
