1. Omar al-Bashir won Presidential re-election by securing 94% of the total vote and was re - elected as a Sudan President for another term of five years. He has been President of Sudan since 1989.

2. Loretta Lynch has sworn-in as United States' first African-American woman Attorney General. She is 83rd Attorney General of country and she succeeded Eric Holder who left the position recently after serving as Attorney General for six years.

3. Europe-s largest IT services company, Capgemini has announced to acquire mid-tier IT Services company iGATE for nearly USD 4 billion. Capgemini will pay USD 48 per share of iGATE. iGATE is US-listed IT services company headquartered in New Jersey. The combined entity will have revenue of 12.5 billion euro in 2015, an operating margin above 10% and around 190,000 employees with 48% based in India.
