1. Famous Pakistani human rights activist, Sabeen Mahmud, has been shot dead in Karachi after hosting a talk on allegations of torture in the province of Baluchistan. She was a director of The Second Floor (T2F) cafe which organizes debates and art events.

2. World record holder Paula Radcliffe has been chosen for the inaugural John Disley London Marathon Lifetime Achievement Award after she completes the 2015 London Marathon. Radcliffe will be presented with the trophy by John Disley, who co-founded the event with Chris Brasher in 1981.
