1. As per the officials of AIIB, China will be the largest shareholder with a 30.85% in the newly initiative Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), followed by India and Russia. India will have 10.4% stake.


A total of 57 countries have joined AIIB as founding members, including 37 from Asia, which is set to mainly finance major infrastructure projects in Asia.


2. An Indian American professor at Yale University, Akhil Reed Amar was nominated by President Barack Obama to the National Council on the Humanities, a key administration post. He has been a professor at both Yale Law School and Yale College since 1985 and has held various professorships, including Southmayd Professor from 1993 to 2008, professor from 1990 to 1993, associate professor from 1988 to 1990, and assistant professor from 1985 to 1988.
