1. The G-20 Australia summit for year 2014 started in in Brisbane in Australia where leaders of G20 are expected to discuss various points and issues. This summit will end tomorrow and currently being hosted at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre at South Brisbane.

2. European Space Agency's (ESA) Rosetta mission landed its Philae probe on the surface of Comet 67P/ Churyumov-Gerasimenko this week. With this, a probe landed on a comet for the first time in the space history.

Its key objective is share data about composition of the comet after landing on its surface. The spacecraft will continue to track comet 67P/C-G on its journey to the Sun and send pictures and other scientific details.

3. Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson was declared "ICC Cricketer of the Year" and "ICC Test cricketer of the Year" on 15th November. He won the award for the second time in his career. Also he is only third Australian after Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke to win the Test Cricketer of the Year award.

South Africa's AB de Villiers was named ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year, and England's Gary Balance was named the ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year.
