CAG submitted yet another Coal Blocks allocation scam report this time loss to government

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has submitted yet another scam report which is expected to create new storm in the upcoming parliament sessions. This report pegged government-s loss at massive Rs 1.86 lakh crore due to improper allocation of coal blocks to different parties without proper bidding process.

The report stated that huge number of coal blocks were allocated to different private companies during 2004-2009 did not follow the proper bidding process and government have lost nearly Rs 1.86 lakh crore. It named Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as he was in charge for the coal ministry from 2006-2009 and alleged PMO for delaying the bidding process for some of the cases. This is definitely the biggest scam for India which surpasses the older 2G scam as well in terms of loss to the government.

This report is expected to create storm in the upcoming parliament sessions like the previous 2G scam and opposition parties led by BJP are ready to corner ruling UPA party for this issue.
