2 Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Adminstration With a view to recognizing the extraordinary and exemplary performance of civil servants, the Government of India announces institution of the PM Awards for Excellence in Public Administration. Nominations of individuals or a group of officers or organisations are invited from Central Government Ministries/Departments/State Governments/Non-Governmental Organisations and other stakeholders

3 Department of Agriculture and Cooperation Agricultural Census Agricultural Census is the largest countrywide statistical quinquennial operation undertaken by Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India. Primary and secondary data on structure of Indian agriculture are collected under this operation using the machinery of the State governments. The first Agricultural Census in the country was conducted with reference year 1970-71.

4 Department of Agriculture and Cooperation Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) Aims at achieving 4% annual growth in the agriculture sector during the XI Plan period, by ensuring a holistic development of Agriculture and allied sectors.

5 Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries National Scheme on Welfare of Fishermen To provide financial assistance to fishers for construction of house, community hall for recreation and common working place and installation of tube-wells for drinking water and assistance during lean period through saving cum relief component.

6 Department of Bio-Technology National Bio-Science awards for career development To recognize the outstanding contributions of young scientists in basic and applied research covering the areas of biosciences including agriculture, biomedicine and environmental biology, up to 10 awards are given each year subject to the availability of suitable candidates. Each award carries a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000/-, a research grant of 3,00,000/- per year for a period of three years and a citation.

8 Department of Scientific and Industrial Research Technology Information Facilitation Programme “Technology Information Facilitation Programme” (TIF) is one of the components of Technology Promotion, Development and Utilization (TPDU) Programme of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR). The broad objective of the programme is to generate endogenous capacities for the development and utilization of digital information resources and provide inputs to S&T research and industrial development.

10 Department of Scientific and Industrial Research Technology Development and Demonstration Programme The Technology Development and Demonstration Programme (TDDP) [Earlier known as “Programme Aimed at Technological Self-reliance” (PATSER)] is a plan scheme of DSIR to promote industry’s efforts in development and demonstration of indigenous technologies, development of capital goods and absorption of imported technologies.

13 Ministry of Agriculture Gramin Bhandaran Yojna The main objectives of the scheme include creation of scientific storage capacity with allied facilities in rural areas to meet the requirements of farmers for storing farm produce, processed farm produce  and agricultural inputs. Also, promotion of grading, standardization and quality control of agricultural produce to improve their marketability. The scheme also aims at prevention of distress sale immediately after harvest by providing the facility of pledge financing and marketing credit by strengthening agricultural marketing infrastructure in the country.

14 Ministry of Agriculture Central Assistance to State Plan Scheme on Watershed Development The main objectives of this scheme are to protect hill slopes of Jhum areas through soil and water conservation measures on watershed basis and to reduce further land degradation; to encourage and assist Jhumia families to develop Jhum land for productive uses with improved cultivation and suitable package of practices leading to settled cultivation; to improve socio-economic status of Jhumia families through household/land based activities; to mitigate ill effects of shifting cultivation by introducing appropriate land use as per land capability and improved technologies.

15 Ministry of Commerce and Industry Unilateral Tariff Preference Scheme by India for the Least Developed Countries The objective of the DFTPI-LDC Scheme is grant of tariff preferences on the Exports of the Least Developed Countries on imports to India. The DFTPI-LDC Scheme intends to provide tariff preferences by India on Products originating in the notified Least Developed Countries.

16 Ministry of Commerce and Industry Marketing Assistance Scheme Marketing Assistance Scheme aims at providing marketing support to Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) through National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) and enhance capabilities, competitiveness and marketability of their products.

17 Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) Technological Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) aims to assist Institutions of Higher learning to strengthen their Technology Incubation Centres and thus enable young entrepreneurs to initiate technology start up Companies for commercial exploitation of technologies developed by them.

18 Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Support International Patent Protection in Electronics and IT Scheme (SIP-EIT) Department of Information Technology, MCIT, GOI has started this scheme to provide financial support to SMEs and Technology Start-Up units for international patent filing so as to encourage indigenous innovation and to recognize the value and capabilities of global IP and capture growth opportunities in the area of information technology and electronics.

19 Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Decentralized Procurement Scheme This scheme is introduced to encourage procurement in non-traditional States, thereby extending the benefits of Minimum Support Price (MSP) to local farmers.

20 Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Hill Transport Subsidy Scheme Hill Transport Subsidy Scheme is meant for the States/ UTs, which are predominantly hilly with little or no railways and poor road communications.

21 Ministry of Finance Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme (CGEGIS) Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme (CGEGIS) came into force from 1st January,1982. The scheme provides for two fold benefit, viz., (1) insurance cover to help their families and (2) lump sum payment to augment their resources on retirement.

23 Ministry of Home Affairs Swatantrata Sainik Samman Pension Scheme,1980 During the Silver Jubilee year of Independence, a Central Scheme for grant of pension to freedom fighters and their eligible dependents (Where freedom fighters have already expired) was introduced by Government of India with effect from 15.08.1972. In 1980, the Scheme was liberalized and renamed as “Swatantrata Sainik Samman Pension Scheme,1980” (the Scheme) and made effective from 01.08.1980.

24 Ministry of Home Affairs Ministry of Home Affairs Central Paramilitary Forces scholarship for medical students of Government Scheme provides for scholarship of Rs.10000/- per month for the total duration of four and half years of MBBS course only, to selected 25 meritorious Indian students for the entire period of medical studies.

25 Ministry of Human Resource Development Inclusive Education of the Disabled at Secondary Stage (IEDSS) The Scheme of Integrated Education for the Disabled Children (IEDC) has been replaced by the scheme of Inclusive Education for the Disabled at Secondary Stage (IEDSS) with effect from 1.4.2009. The scheme IEDC was meant to cover all classes in the school education stage.
